Interpreter Positions

Our on-site interpreters must:

  • Be reliable, accurate and punctual
  • Be customer service oriented
  • Have prior experience in legal, business, social or medical
  • Have transportation to go to our customer's location on time
  • Follow the intepretation industry standards and code of ethics

Our telephonic interpreters must:

  • Be reliable, accurate and punctual
  • Be customer service oriented
  • Have prior experience in legal, business, social or medical
  • Have a landline telephone
  • Not to use cordless devices such as cordless phones, headsets, and cell phones
  • Follow the intepretation industry standards and code of ethics

Applicants will also be tested for quality purposes. Contracted interpreters will be contacted for interpretation appointments or calls on an as needed basis.

Please let us know if you have any interpreter certification such as WA DSHS, NAJIT or you have taken interpreter classes like "Bridging the Gap" by CCHCP or other interpreter training courses.

Translator Positions  

Thank you very much for your interest in working with WLA. Please e-mail us your translator application along with your resume at careers@worldlanguageaccess.com with the following information:

  • Your working language pair
  • Your native language
  • Your background and experience as a translator
  • Your areas of expertise
  • Your rate per word
  • Your contact information

Translator Qualifications

We require that our translators:

  • Only translate into their native language
  • Hold certificates and credentials in translation from universities, professional organizations, etc.
  • Have 2 years of experience in their areas of specialty.
  • Utilize Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) tools such as TRADOS, Atril, STAR, and others.
  • Be well informed about the translation Industry Standards and Code of Ethics for Professional Conduct and Business Practices.
Applicants will also be tested for quality purposes. Contracted translators will be contacted for projects on an as needed basis.
